Painting on Paper

I was painting for fun on cheap paper. Afterwards I took a picture of it and threw the original away. A little while later, I posted Flowers in a Vase on my blog. I received 3 Google + recommendations. That is the most Google + recommendations any post has received on this blog.

It’s funny that that the most enjoyable paintings are the most popular paintings. It was also one of the easier works for me to create. Thank you fans for clicking the Google + button. I am going to create another work like it.

The Tomato Plant

This depicts a tomato plant, growing in my backyard. I used the red tomatoes to create an artistic triangle. I love using color to create a beautiful composition. It is acrylic, measuring 11" x 14."

Hill Quote

I found a quote about making quality artwork. In this case, Adrian Hill is talking about trees. He writes, “a tree is painted to…express his [the artist] appreciation for it,” He wrote a book, On Drawing and Painting Trees. People often paint things, seeing they are beautiful and decide to depict that beauty. This photo is from Amazon.

I painted these roses in around an hour. I always wanted to paint a rose.
